Wall Facing Unit

Wall facing unit data must be provided for a MSE wall analysis, even though they may not be used in the analysis if the AASHTO method is chosen.  Most wall-facing unit data can be found in the wall bank and can be directly with drawn for use.  The wall unit data include:
  • Wall block name
  • Block height
  • Block width
  • Block density
  • Shear capacity between blocks
  • Friction angle between blocks, and
  • Wall batter
    Users should be able find the data above from the wall block manufacturer.  Visual Slope has saved wall-facing unit data for most commonly used wall blocks in the wall bank for users to use.
